President's Report - July 2014

A Message from the President (July 2014)

Hello 2 Litre Sports Sedan Club Members and welcome to the second half of 201
4

As the President for the next 12 months I would like to welcome the new committee, and thank them for
contributing their time and energy to improving the club.

I will also take this opportunity to thank the outgoing committee for their time and dedication over the last year.

For the second year, a huge thank you to George Thyssen of Polymech liquid plastic solutions for being
the club's naming rights sponsor and helping us promote 2 Litre Motorsport.
I must also thank Stuckeys Tyre Service, Activity Playgrounds and Coxy's Motorsport Spares for their support
of our club.

So please remember to support the people who support us.

On the sporting front , Steve Howard is building a healthy lead in the club championship but with two rounds
to go he is not home safe yet. The last round was held at Winton and while the 2 Litre cars should capitalize
on the tight Winton layout, every 2 Litre car had problems at some stage over the weekend. Steve's problems
were early in the weekend so didn't cost him any points.

There is a bit of a break in competition over the next few months with the next round of the Polymech 2 Litre
Club championship held at Phillip Island in October

Over the last few months the club has introduced this new web site which is still a work in progress so if there is
something you want on the site, talk to a committee member about it. Most of the content on the web site is the
work of Mike Kyval, John Patterson & Chris Hales so thank you to those members.

We have also introduced a You Tube Channel in the last few weeks so if you have some interesting recent video or
some older
footage for that matter, of or from a 2 Litre sports sedan, we would love to see it.
A big thank you to Lee Uhlhorn for his work in this area.

The club has purchased several memory sticks for members to copy their video for Lee to edit and upload.

Late last year several club members participated in the Sports Sedan races at the Sandown historic meeting
which is great exposure for the club with a large number of spectators and also this meeting marked the start
of our relationship with Blendline TV. Victorian Sports Sedans have featured twice on Blendline TV so far this year
with one of the remaining Phillip Island rounds still to come.
So if you want to be on TV, you had better get that car out of the shed.

Earlier this year the club was well represented by Lee Partridge in the Sports Sedan support races at the
Winton V8SC round.
This sort of appearance can only help our cause in showing that 2 Litre Sports Sedans
are a fast and economical class in which to compete.

Finally I would love to see you all at our next club meeting. We had a very informative and enjoyable
May meeting at Clive Cams and we are working on two more tours this year so stay tuned.
